San Clemente
At the southern tip of Orange County, located nearly exactly halfway between San Deigo and Los Angeles, San Clemente is a beautiful city on the Pacific Ocean. San Clemente is in the Capistrano Unified School District, which features six elementary schools, three middle schools, one high school and one K-12 known as Capitrano Connections Academy which offers flexible hours for students.
The elementary schools are Concordia Elementary; Truman Benedict; Vista Del Mar; Las Palmas; Marblehead Elementary; and Lobo Elementary. The middle schools are Bernice Ayer, Shorecliffs, and Vista Del Mar.
San Clemente High School is ranked in the top 1.3% of schools nationwide and has an International Baccalaureate program and a a wide array of advanced placement courses. The music program features a nationally recognized Vocal Arts Program with award-winning Madirgals, Women's Ensemble, and A Cappella Choirs.
San Clemente became famous as the home of the "western white house" in 1968 when President Richard Nixon bought the H.H. Cotton estate. Nixon called it La Casa Pacifica, the home sits above Trestles, one of the West Coast's premier surfing spots.
The SoCal MLS divides San Clemente into 10 areas: Coastal District, Forster Ranch, Marblehead, Marbisa, Rancho San Clemente, San Clemente Central, San Clemente North, San Clemente Southeast, San Clemente Southwest, and Talege.
